Very warm and friendly looking website and I like the calm tone of colors.Since it looks like you are not done, here are only a couple of comments. You may want to rethink the table layouts and showing/hiding borders of tables. I’m not sure if you are still working on it or not, but currently, it looks incomplete in terms of the table layout. There is a big space in the middle with nothing on it…Showing borders within tables...it is distracting. Another is that the background….it is very cute graphic but it is very distracting. You may want to tone it down or make it blurry…or you may want to change colors of your main objects to stand out more…whichever you prefer.

You have done a great job with your website.
 Here are some tips:

1.  Put borders around the photos of the teachers.
2.  Align the Great Books button with the other buttons horizontally
3.  change the background color of the buttons to grey.
4.  Your title on the top of the page is too close to the left border.  You can fix that by changing the cell padding of the table.
5.  I would use the header and navigation throughout all your pages and only the content of the pages would be different.  This will make your site more unified and usable.

It looks very nice.

I really like the color scheme on the main page. It's lively but modern. :) One thing that I am wondering about is whether the title on the main page might 'pop' more in white or a different color? Also, the gold is such a strong color (which I very much like on the main page) I am wondering whether you could find a way to pull some gold - just a little - throughout the website... Maybe in your titles (...and it doesn't have to be the same exact color as the main page to give a feel of continuity...) As for navigation, I really like the main page menus. Any thought to adding those into the rest of the html pages? Also on the menu on the main page, something strange is happening with navigation on the great books. It looks like everything else in the table is divided into 2 rows, but that column isn't. In other words, just looking at it from a visual viewpoint, there is no black line between the button 'Great Books' and text 'Books 3rd graders recommend'. Finally, the calendar link didn't work. I realize you are not finished with your project, but thought I would just mention it... Oh, and just to let you know, I use firefox and your site looks fine to me. I've had a couple of problems viewing other people's sites which appear to related to firefox, so I thought I would just mention that. ;) Good job. Your website seems clear in its purpose and I think structure and color wise is fine, except for the few minor things I've mentioned.

You certainly have overhauled your project! It looks great! Here are a couple of suggestions for you: Make the background for your buttons transparent. The same goes for the book image on your books page. Also, your Harcourt Brace link isn't blue like the rest of the links on that page. Lastly, your "great books" button is not inline with the other buttons.

I am no longer in studio this semester (I was in 6200) but I enjoy looking at the projects that are created.
I really like the site. The color scheme is attractive and the spacing is balanced. You obviously have an eye for these things. I also liked the alt text you selected for the teacher pictures. Is this your first studio class? If so, you are doing an exceptional job.

There are a couple of things I noticed:

  1. For some reason after returning from the "About the Team" link using the back button, the alignment on "Great Books" messes up and the second button changes to calendar instead of "Learning Games".
  2. I would also like to have seen the color scheme and style continued on the other pages in the site. This lends to greater visual continuity. You might also want to include the teacher pics with the bios.
  3. Also, I was wondering if you had alt text for all of your links (especially the buttons)
Again...Great Job. I hope to see you next semester.

I love your ideas to put pictures of the team to e-mail them.
It seems you are still working on this. Here are my thoughts.

1) "Great Books" navigation button doesn't align with others.
If you use tables, arrange all buttons same in the horizontal
and vertical boxes.

2) Change the backgroud of buttons as sams as your background
color of the web page.

3) Unify bottons which bring users to the main home page. It
is back button in "Meet out team" page, and it is home button
in other pages.

Nice job! I look forward to seeing your final project.

What a great progress! I am very impressed with the level of change that you have made to your project.
Color scheme is great and looks very professional :-)

Only one thing - you may already know this - is that the buttons (navigation) have white (or lighter) background color than the page background. You may not want to re-export all the image files for the buttons at this point...but if you want, you may want to set the background color to the same color as the background of a page where the buttons lay on before you export the image files.

Great job!

Your project looks much improved. I like your buttons and
the simplistic design of the home page. Here are some
suggestions:

1) When I clicked on the "Meet Our Team" button and then
pressed the "Back" button you made, the "Great Books" button
had moved out of line with the other navigation buttons.
I'm not sure what happened here...one thing you might try is
to make sure you have linked the "Back" button and all other
buttons/links to the same home page.

2) The photos on the home page look like they've been re-
sized in Dreamweaver. To make them the right dimensions,
edit them in Fireworks or some other optimizing program.
Any time you re-size in Dreamweaver, the quality of the
graphic is considerably reduced, as well.

3) The photos on the home page might look more professional
if you frame them in Dreamweaver (give them a border).
Also, you might want to consider sprucing up the rest of the
site with a few photos/graphics.

I hope these comments are helpful. Great job so far with
your project and good luck these last couple of weeks!
